Tuberculosis Treatment | Ayurvedic Herbal Natural Cure for Tuberculosis
According to modern medical studies, TUBERCULOSIS (a.k.a. TB) is caused by entry of tubercle bacillus though the nasal passage, all the way to the lungs. It multiplies millions of times, and leave tiny spots called tubercles all over the body.
However, according to the ayurvedic perspective, tuberculosis is caused by the lowering of the body’s resistance to diseases entering the body.

The following is a list of Ayurvedic Home Remedies for Tuberculosis. These have been proven to be quite helpful in treating TB.
- A Milk Diet: A large source of calcium is vital as part of the TB healing process. Unpasteurized milk produces the best results. It is necessary to partake in this procedure for six to eight weeks. The milk should be consumed every two hours from 8 a.m. to 8p.m. In preparation for this prolonged milk diet one should participate in a three day juice fast (particularly orange juice) beforehand. . During this time, the patient should be in bed rest for two hours twice a day.
- Custard Apple: Custard Apple mixed with 25 seedless raisons need to be boiled together. And then mixed with a sugar candy substance, along with cinnamon, cardamom and other spices. This helps rejuvenate the patient’s body.
- Goose Berry: Fresh Alma Juice mixed with honey can provide vigor and vitality in the patient within a few hours. This treatment should be taken every morning.
- Pineapple: One glass of pineapple juice a day helps dissolve mucus membranes, and speeds up recovery.
- Orange: A pinch salt with a tablespoon of honey added to a glass of orange juice can help inhibit the spread of secondary diseases.
- Other Remedies: Drumstick, Bottle Gourd, and mint are also beneficial the recovery from TB. These remedies help in one in ways such as helping build up the body’s immune system, and liquefaction of the sputum. The mint in particular helps nourish the lungs. These healing aids are a healthier alternative to other anti-tuberculosis drugs.
- Avoid Questionable Foods and Drinks: Foods such as white bread, refined sugar, and processed cereals should be avoided. Also coffee, puddings and pies, and canned foods should not be eaten. Also, the patient should not drink strong tea or coffee. Furthermore, condiments such as pickles and sauces cannot be used.
- Relaxation and Sunshine: These are essential for speedy recovery of tuberculosis. Light messages, and deep breathing can keep a patient calm also.
Also, it is good to find a healthy activity or hobby to keep the patient’s mind off the adverse attack of TB on the body.
