Natural Weight Loss

Natural is defined by being based on a sense of right and wrong or being in accordance or determined by nature, says the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. So natural weight loss should be based on the correct balance of how to lose weight according to the way our bodies normally lose the excess weight. With that being said, fadand prescription medicine diets are ruled out. Natural supplements and compounds can ensure a basic nutritional support to a changingdiet, but should not be a focus over eating well through nutritional whole foods. Many brands of supplements add fillers, binders, dyes, gluten or lactose to their products and it is unclear how effective or risky these may be to the human body.Natural dieting is in fact not a diet at all, but a way of life. Gradual changes in lifestyle will make certain success of losing weight and maintaining the healthy lifestyle long term. A person can not expect to change bad lifestyle habits overnight but rather slowly so as to keep a good habit in play for life.

There are some areas that are important to consider when changing to a healthy, natural weight loss lifestyle. One of which is considering going back to basics in food consumption. Food that is whole and unprocessed is all the more healthful, satisfying and natural. Another ismaking sure that vegetables should make up the largest part of your dietary intake. A diet or lifestyle based mostly on plants translates into fewer calories, adds a wealth of health benefits, making sure to add a variety of fruits and vegetables. An important tip in the area of natural weight loss would be misinterpreting hunger for thirst. Staying hydrated fights fatigue, helps fend off false pangs of hunger and is important for achieving optimal digestion, absorption, circulation and waste exertion, keeping in mind that caffeinated or sugary drinks do not count as water.

So how is it that the body 'naturally' loses weight? Our body loses weight when we burn more calories than we consume, ideally by eating a balanced, nutritional, low-calorie intakeor increased physical activity -- or both, together. To lose a pound of fat in one week, a person would need to cut calorie intake by 3,500 calories, since one pound of fat contains approximately 3,500 calories. Increasing physical activity will also aid in weight loss so not all those calories may need to be taken away depending on one's level of weight loss needed. A slow weight loss is best, meaning that 1 or 2 pounds per week until physician-determined body weight is achieved. The lowest recommended caloric intake for a day is 1,200 calories. The lowest recommended caloric intake for a man is 1,500 calories per day. A registered dietitian can provide invaluable information on nutritional intake, classes and programs that are available locally.

There are a few things that one can do to avoid weight gain such as to avoid foods high in fat and sugar, reduce alcohol intake, avoid stress, frustration and boredom and if depressed, to seek medical treatment. Avoiding a lifestyle without physical activity will also help in weight control and weight loss. It has been recommended that a person exercise aerobically (exercise that raises the heart rate slightly) for at least 30 minutes a day, at least 3 times a week and can be accomplished by walking rather than driving or using the stairs rather than using the elevator or escalator.

Natural body weight is determined individually. No two humans are alike and neither are their bodies or weight measurements. A physician would be the best source of information to determine what one's exact weight should be. Factors that determine ideal body weight are items such as gender, height and age.

A person should be sure to always talk over any adjustment to health lifestyle with a health care provider to be sure it is safe for the individual beforehand.
